Starting at 16: What Being the Youngest SEO Expert in Bangladesh Taught Me

I started working on SEO at sixteen. That gets described as being the youngest SEO expert in Bangladesh, which is a label other people applied rather than one I chose. What matters more than the age is what starting that early actually changes about how you work.
No formal training meant no inherited assumptions
I did not learn SEO from a course that was already out of date when it was recorded. I learned by changing something on a real site and watching what happened, which is slower and produces fewer confident opinions.
That turns out to be an advantage in a field where much of the received wisdom is several algorithm updates behind. If you never learned the old rule, you do not have to unlearn it.
Balancing education with client work
I studied at Gov PC College and later ICT at Islamic University while taking freelance projects. That is a difficult combination and I would not pretend otherwise, but it forced a habit that stuck: only work on what demonstrably moves a number, because there is no spare time for anything else.
Two years working as an SEO Strategist on competitive campaigns filled in what solo freelancing could not teach, mainly how larger accounts fail and how they are structured.
Why I narrowed to Local SEO
The early work covered everything: e-commerce, content sites, general organic growth. Some of that produced results I am still proud of, and you can see them on the case studies page.
But local work suited me better, because the feedback loop is short and honest. A business either gets more calls or it does not. There is no arguing with a phone that rings more than it did last month.
What being young cost, and what it did not
It cost credibility in first conversations. People make assumptions, reasonably, about experience and age. The only answer is showing verifiable results rather than arguing about it.
It did not cost quality of work, and I would push back on the idea that it might. Search does not know how old you are. It responds to whether the profile is complete, the site is sound, and the signals are consistent.
What I would tell a business owner
Do not hire on age in either direction. Hire on whether the person can show you a result with the source visible, explain their plan without jargon, and tell you something you did not want to hear.
Those three hold regardless of who is sitting across from you.
The label matters less than the record. Read more about the background, see the results, or book a call and judge from the conversation.
